Made by Balouchi tribes in the village of Mushwani in the Northwestern part of Afghanistan, this kilim is a flat weave style rug that features a 100% wool pile and pure vegetable dyes. The knot count (KPSI) for this kilim is 200, and it showcases a beautiful color palette of ivory, red, blue, brown, navy and rust. The weft strands are simply passed through the warp strands to create intricate patterns. Regular vacuuming and annual professional cleaning will keep your kilim looking new for years to come.
